My work

Let’s talk about hair primers and why they are important. Making sure the hair is prepped and primed before doing any styling is just as important as making sure you prime your face before applying makeup. It gives the hair a base, and provides the protection needed to make sure your hair is ready for styling. Why I love Pureology’s Color Fanatic is the amount of benefits it offers. The five things I love about this product would be that it conditions, has a built in heat protectant, strengthens hair, has UV protection, and is color safe. Adding a primer is an important step to add in your hair routine.

Product spotlight

This is one of my current favorites in my hair routine. This product gives me the perfect amount of volume, without the super sticky/tacky feeling of other mousses. The smell of this product is also so intoxicating, if you’re a fan of cherry almond, you’ll absolutely love this product. When using mousse, use about a softball sized amount, then with your free hand, scoop out about the size of a golfball, and apply to the roots in sections. Another way to add volume in conjunction with with the mousse is to blow-dry the roots in the opposite direction the hair lays.

Let’s talk about texture spray. Texture spray is a great styling product to add into your routine, Aiir’s texture spray adds the perfect amount of grit to the hair for that messy unstyled look. Texture spray also adds volume to the hair. This spray adds slight hold to the hair as well. To use texture spray, hold six inches away from you hair, and section hair where you want to see volume. In addition to adding grit and volume, you can use texture spray when hair has too much slip, or is difficult to work with when styling due to the hair being oily or silky.
